The price is the same as last year. $250. They will drop off on Tuesday and pick up on Thursday.

Please stop by and purchase your wristbands on Friday if possible. 

We need to get a headcount for the caterer and to make sure that we have ordered enough tables and chairs.

Wristbands will still be available for last minute guests up until the day of the party.

TICKET PRICES:

Day Tickets: $12 per person (includes Parade, Carnival, Hot Dog Deli and Frisbee Golf)

Adult Dinner Ticket: $25 per person (includes all day activities plus catered dinner and live music)

Child Dinner Ticket: $15 per person (same as above, for kids who eat like they are under 10 yrs )

Children under 5: Free with a paying adult.

If you would like to attend the Street Dance but want to bring your own food for dietary reasons, you should purchase Day Tickets. 

It's that time of year again...

On Friday, June 1st, we kicked off our Landing II summer celebration with a 4th of July Planning meeting.


Of course, in good neighborhood style, we managed to work in a little socializing as well....


Thanks to Steele and Cristel Covington and Mike and Sharon Boyle for setting up the potluck in front of their homes. Just in case you were wondering, Emerald Rules!


It was also wonderful seeing so many new faces among the old friends in the crowd. The best part of living in Landing II is the community atmosphere. It's great to see that the tradition is continuing.


During the business portion of the meeting, we reviewed last year's event and discussed any possible changes.
Most events will be staying the same except for a few changes:

-New Carnival Games!  

This year, we will be setting up a Carnival Game area on Emerald with rented games. Families may sponsor a game for $50 (this includes the prizes) Of course, you will still be able to host a game at your home if you prefer. This is just another way to get involved. Jackie Michaels will be sending out more information soon.

-Dinner will be catered by Beach Pit BBQ!

Beach Pit will be bringing the great food from their restaurants to our neighborhood. They'll even set up a mobile grill to do some of the cooking on site! Final menu details are still being worked out. Please contact Ellen Bell if you have any special needs or requests.

-Musical entertainment provided by local band, "Pinch Me"!

This seven piece band plays all the best dance hits and knows how to get the party started.

Even if you're not coming to the dinner, you may want to stop by and dance the night away!

-New Ticket Prices

In order to provide these upgrades and to keep up with rising expenses, we decided to raise the price of the tickets a bit. The new ticket prices for 2012 will be:

$12 for a Block Party Day Ticket  (includes the parade, games, ponies, hot dog deli & frisbee golf)

$25 for Block Party  Plus Catered Dinner Dance

$15 for kids under 12 ( who eat like kids under 12....:-) ) for Block Party and Dinner

Kids under 5 are free with a paying adult.

It's still a great bargain for a fun-filled day of activities...right in your own neighborhood!

So get excited Landing II! This year's celebration is shaping up to be one of the best!
