Another Great 4th!

We did it again!
Once again our neighborhood pulled together and put on a great party.

This all started years ago, when an industrious neighbor, Phyllis Robison, organized community events for Landing 2. Phyllis, and her next door neighbor Sharla Sharpnik, put on an amazing 4th of July party for years, as well as the End of the School Year Ice Cream Social and the Halloween Party. I'll never forget seeing her walk around in a pumpkin costume, leading everyone with her trusty megaphone.

When Tim and I moved moved here in 1994, we were amazed by all of the wonderful activities and community spirit of this special neighborhood. Phyllis was looking for a break from her years of organizing, so Suzanne Kiley and I volunteered to carry the torch. 14 years later, this incredible celebration is stronger than ever due to the continued participation of the people who live here.

Every year, I am so inspired by my neighbors. Everyone pitches in, enjoys old friends and welcomes new ones. We are all so lucky to live here and I hope that we never lose the community connection that everyone has worked so hard to preserve.

Thank you ALL for another great year
